LED lighting "lights up" Beijing Energy Saving Exhibition

Yesterday morning, the 2010 China Beijing International Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Exhibition with the theme of “Low Carbon Technology, Green Economy” was kicked off in Beijing. The exhibition was hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government and the National Development and Reform Commission. The exhibition is both a Chinese and foreign exhibiting company. A platform for communication was established, and the general public was provided with a classroom to understand the knowledge of energy conservation, emission reduction and low carbon life.

At the exhibition site, the reporter noticed that LED lighting and solar energy application products have become a highlight of this exhibition. Panasonic Electric Works, Philips Lighting, Huangming Solar, and Sangpu Solar participated in the exhibition.

Focus on low carbon technology and green economy

This exhibition is an important event between the State and Beijing 2010 Energy Conservation Publicity Week. The exhibition is based on the theme of “low carbon technology, green economy”. With a total exhibition area of more than 17,000 square meters, the exhibition is divided into seven technical exhibition areas, including industrial energy conservation, building energy conservation, comprehensive resource utilization, new energy and renewable energy, office and civil use, energy conservation services and trade, and new energy vehicles. Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd., Jingyi Group, Beijing Automotive Holdings, Wuxi Huada, Huangming Solar, Shenzhen Antoshan, ABB, Matsushita Electric, Siemens, Philips, Grundfos, Danfoss and many other well-known companies participated in the exhibition. The total number reached 230.

Zheng Xiaohu, deputy director of the Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center, told reporters that 2010 is the year of finalization of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” and the year of decisive battle to achieve the “Eleventh Five-Year” energy conservation and emission reduction targets. Work, the municipal government and the National Development and Reform Commission continue to jointly organize energy conservation and environmental protection exhibitions, which is also the sixth time to hold energy conservation and environmental protection exhibitions. The exhibition will strive to build a platform of “policy propaganda, information exchange, technology promotion, transaction negotiation, market service, international cooperation” to provide technical support and market services for key areas of energy conservation and emission reduction.

It is understood that during the Beijing Energy Conservation Publicity Week, Beijing also held three sessions including “focusing on the world city, building green Beijing”, “developing low-carbon industries, promoting technology application” and “Beijing low-carbon economy and building energy-saving innovation development”. forum. The exhibition not only built a platform for exchanges between Chinese and foreign exhibitors, but also provided the general public with a classroom to understand energy-saving emission reduction and low-carbon life knowledge.

LED lighting: triggering a new generation of green light source revolution

LED lighting is known as the "third lighting revolution" because of its energy saving, environmental protection, safety, long life and small size. It is the most energy-saving and environmentally friendly lighting. At this exhibition, leading international lighting companies such as Philips, Osram and Matsushita Electric exhibited their latest LED lighting products.

Philips showcases a full range of home lighting solutions

At the booth of Philips, Mr. Li, the sales manager of Philips Lighting Beijing Branch, showed the reporter a home LED lighting fixture with a life expectancy of 50,000 hours, which is 8 times the life of popular energy-saving lamps. In addition, the luminaire's color rendering index can reach 80%, which can better restore the true color of the object. “After five years, LED lighting products will account for 50% of all Philips lighting products.” Mr. Li said.

Matsushita Electric Works exhibited an LED ceiling lamp with a remote control, which has a 25%-100% brightness adjustment range, attracting the attention of the exhibitors. According to reports, the life of this dimmable LED lamp is 12,000 hours, while the life of ordinary dimmable incandescent lamps and the life of ordinary energy-saving lamps are 1,000 hours and 10,000 hours respectively.

At present, under the background of global warming, governments have paid great attention to LED lighting, and traditional lighting companies have also increased the research and development of LED lighting products. It can be foreseen that LED will become a new generation of green light source to replace traditional light source with its advantages of energy saving, better driving characteristics, faster response speed, higher seismic resistance and long life.
